Meditation has been practiced for thousands of years as a way to calm and center the mind, relax the body, focus internal energies for healing, and to gain greater mental clarity and spiritual insight.

What is meditation? Simply put, meditation is the practice of focusing your attention on one thing at a time. By focusing the mind on a single object of attention, for a period of time, we give our mind an opportunity to rest, our body to relax, and our energy to balance.

Meditation is not mystical, to the contrary, it is a practical form of energy management and is essential to our mental, physical and spiritual health.

Meditation has been used successfully in the treatment and prevention of high blood pressure, heart disease, migraine headaches, and auto-immune diseases such as diabetes and arthritis, it has also proved helpful in curtailing obsessive thinking, anxiety, depression and hostility.

One makes selections based on intuition, feedback from colleagues, and often from reliable commentary(s) from related sources. I hope my words on this Stress Defense Meditation CD will be a reliable source that will persuade you to get one for yourself and for others as stress busters and constructive gifts. Ron NaVarre is an accomplished martial artist and veteran teacher of the healing arts that include Yoga, Tai Chi, bodywork and Qigong.

Foremost, this first audio offering from NaVarre uses the Chinese Healing Arts techniques of Qiqong and Tai Chi in a seamless marriage with yoga so that an energetic healing of “chi” energy can re-align and flow more fully through the chakras. By listening to this CD, you will achieve an interval of stillness. This interval of stillness manifests on both the physical and internal levels and will last well beyond the 30 minutes of the session.
